In today’s challenging healthcare market, it’s important to take opportunities to learn all you can to advance patient care, outcomes, and financial stability in your organization.

ECRI is proud to be an in-person exhibitor (booth 421) at the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) conference August 7 to 10 in Anaheim, CA. to support healthcare supply chain professionals.

ECRI’s own Reggie Jackson will be a featured speaker on the topic: How Inconclusive Clinical Evidence Creates Opportunity For Physician Engagement.

Improved physician engagement continues to be a strategic goal across the spectrum of healthcare delivery. Clinical evidence helps support a contextual dialog between physicians and administrators.

Jackson's AHRMM talk will provide a case study on how a supply chain leader used clinical evidence to lead a productive discussion with a team of surgeons about the appropriate use of a new surgical system. The case study will include the physician request, challenges facing supply chain, how the clinical evidence was factored, the decision, and its overall impact on supply chain and patient care. The session will conclude with a Q&A session and will provide attendees with three main learning outcomes:

  1. The learner will facilitate successful conversations between administrators and physicians using clinical evidence as a connecting point.

  2. The learner will understand how to use clinical evidence to drive supply chain decisions.

  3. The learner will better meet overall physician engagement goals leading to a clinically integrated supply chain.

Tim Browne, ECRI's vice president, global supply chain solutions also will be at the booth to discuss supply chain solutions and how to contain costs while still maintaining the highest standards of safety with your capital equipment and healthcare supply decision assurance.

"With the supply chain, we've all been waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel," Browne says. "But with continuing shortages, production slow-downs, worker shortages, and global factors such as disease, war, and geo-political challenges, the tunnel is stretching and the light dimming. But that doesn't mean you can't take steps to better prepare your organization. ECRI's menu of services,  intelligence and process structures will make navigating the supply chain more effective for your organization."

As the unbiased, trusted authority on healthcare technologies, ECRI’s solutions will improve the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
